How a Cabin Cruise Works

Your own cabin, a shared adventure

A cabin cruise is the easiest way to spend a week on a crewed catamaran without chartering the whole yacht. Everything on board is taken care of – you simply choose your date.

Your own private cabin

Book a cabin for two (or travel solo) and share the catamaran with other cabin guests. Each cabin has its own bathroom and air-conditioning.

Skipper and chef on board

Our crew sails, anchors and cooks for you – breakfast, lunch and dinner are served on board every day.

Everything for the water

Snorkeling gear, a SUP board and the dinghy are included, so you can explore every reef and beach along the way.

A new anchorage every night

Sleep on board next to islands, beaches and villages you would never reach on a day trip.

Day by day

Day 1Azam Marina – Chapwani Island
Check-in on the catamaran at 17:00 in Azam Marina (next to Verde hotel), Zanzibar. Welcome evening on board, then a short 20-minute sail to a nearby islet. Overnight on the catamaran near Chapwani Island.
Day 2Prison Island & Kendwa
After breakfast, at around 9:30, visit Prison Island (entrance ticket $21 per person – optional). It is one of the most famous historical sites on Zanzibar and a sanctuary for giant tortoises – the oldest one living there is around 120 years old! Then sail to Kendwa (approx. 5.5 hours), one of Zanzibar’s most popular resort villages, full of restaurants and attractions, with a beach considered one of the best on the island. The captain sails as close to the shore as possible, so you can admire Zanzibar from the water. Overnight on the catamaran in Kendwa.
Day 3Misali Island, Pemba
Morning sail to Pemba, arriving at Misali Island at around 14:30. Misali is uninhabited – its only residents are vervet monkeys. A great place for snorkeling, exploring the island or sunbathing. In the evening, relax by a bonfire on the beach. Overnight on the catamaran near the island.
Day 4Little Thailand & Njao Island
Sail to the north of Pemba, to the bay by Njao Island, with a snorkeling stop at our secret spot, “Little Thailand”. On the way, keep an eye out for feeding pods of dolphins and surfacing whales. Visit a friendly local village in the bay – a great chance to see how some communities on our planet still really live. Dinner and overnight on the catamaran in the bay next to Njao Island.
Day 5Ngezi Forest & Pemba’s inner islands
Free morning. We encourage an early start to visit Ngezi Forest and the beach on the north coast of the island – we are happy to help arrange transport, which can be a challenge on Pemba. At around 13:00, cruise among Pemba’s inner islands, watching local communities from the deck and snorkeling. In the afternoon, anchor by one of the uninhabited islets. A little-known legend says that one of these islands may be where Captain Kidd buried his famous treasure – still not found to this day!
Day 6Mnemba Island & Nungwi
Morning sail to Mnemba Island (approx. 5 hours), one of the best places on Zanzibar for snorkeling and dolphin spotting. Return at sunset to Nungwi, another popular resort village in the north of Zanzibar. Overnight on the catamaran in Nungwi.
Day 7Nakupenda Sandbank & Stone Town
Relax on the beach in Nungwi in the morning, with time for souvenir shopping. Then sail back towards Stone Town (approx. 5.5 hours), stopping at Nakupenda Sandbank, one of the most popular sandbanks on Zanzibar. Explore Stone Town, the old city listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Overnight on the catamaran in Stone Town or by one of the nearby islets.
Day 8Azam Marina – farewell
Early morning return to Azam Marina (approx. 30-minute sail). At 9:00, farewell to the crew and disembarkation. We are happy to help arrange transport to the airport – or, if you are staying longer on Zanzibar, a safe transfer to your hotel.
