1. Is it worth taking a skipper, deckhand or chef from the base?
We highly recommend bringing our experienced crew members along on your charter for several reasons. Firstly, the maps in this area are not very accurate, meaning that even experienced sailors may encounter difficulties such as unmarked rocks, shallow waters, or local fishermen. Our skippers have extensive experience navigating these waters, ensuring a safe and stress-free adventure. Additionally, in Zanzibar, there are limited supermarkets, and most goods must be purchased from local markets where prices are negotiable and often unmarked. Having our crew with you can protect you from potential scams and prevent you from overspending on products. Furthermore, our professional chefs, with experience of working in prestigious restaurants like “The Rock Restaurant,” know where to buy high-quality ingredients at the best prices and will take care of supplying the boat. They will ensure that you wake up to the aroma of delicious breakfast every morning. It’s definitely worth it!
2. How do you want the deposit, final cleaning and optional extras to be paid (bank transfer, credit card, cash at base, etc.)?
Our deposit is 6000 euro.
You can pay the deposit and other extras at base by cash or transfer it to our bank account at least 7 days before the charter.
Alternative option: Non-refundable deposit 400 euro + refundable 600 euro. It covers deposit insurance by the owner and small repairs that insurance doesn’t cover.
3. What is the time for the check in and the check out?
Check in is at 5 PM and check out is at 9 AM.
4. In which marina exactly are you staying in?
We are staying in the Azam Marina by the Verde Hotel.
5. Must the charter return to the marina on the evening before check-out? If yes, when?
Either the charter should return to the marina, or we can suggest an alternative. We have our own mooring in the most popular place in Stone Town, opposite a promenade. It is 30 minutes from the marina. You can spend the night there and return to the marina in the morning before 9 am.
6. Is the mooring in your marina included for the whole week, or just for the first and the last night?
Stay in the marina is included for only the first and the last night. Each additional night costs 50 euro.
7. Are one set of linen and towels included?
Yes, one set of bed linen and towels is included in the transit log. If you want an extra one, it costs 100 euros per set.
